We’re here for you 365 days a year! In the summer March – October 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The register closes at 5:30 p.m. In winter November – February 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The register closes at 4:30 p.m. All animal enclosures, including the aquarium, close 30 minutes before the end of opening hours.

Cologne Zoo: what should I know before visiting?

No means of transportation, such as bicycles, scooters, roller skates, inline skates, skateboards, or kick scooters, may be brought into the zoo. For your own safety and to avoid disturbing the animals, the Cologne Zoo may only be explored on foot, with the exception of wheelchairs, strollers, and handcarts. Please note that smoking in the zoo is permitted only in the designated smoking areas. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought into the zoo.

The Cologne Zoo is accessible to people with disabilities in every respect. The entire grounds are equipped with wide paths, ramps, and special accessible restrooms.
