Escher in The Palace: is it wheelchair accessible?

Escher in The Palace is a listed building, which means we have limited facilities for disabled visitors. Accessing the Palace involves using several steps. Escher in The Palace has a wheelchair ramp for wheelchair users. This is kept at the front desk. All rooms in the Palace are threshold-free and a small lift is available for use (84 cm deep, 103 cm wide, max. capacity 250 kg). Manual wheelchairs can be borrowed from the front desk. We regret that we do not have a disabled toilet. Unfortunately, we are not accessible to electric wheelchairs.✓ escherinhetpaleis.nl/en/visit/visitor-information · 2026-10-11

With over 120 prints in our museum, the most famous works from the oeuvre of M.C. Escher (1898-1972) are permanently on display at Escher in The Palace. These magnificent prints are being exhibited in a regal setting: the former winter palace of Queen Emma, the Queen Mother.
