The museum is located at Bygdøy, just outside the centre of Oslo, and is easily reached by bus no. 30 from the city centre, or by city bike or regular bicycle. There are also boats all year round from the City Hall, pier no. 3. See the timetables for bus and boat.✓ frammuseum.no/en/plan-your-visit · 2026-10-11Fram Museum: is it wheelchair accessible?
The museum is largely wheelchair accessible, but it is not possible to go below deck. We have regular lifts in both buildings, and a wheelchair lift down to Gjøa for non-electric wheelchairs. For electric wheelchairs, a back door to Gjøa can be opened. We have one adult wheelchair and one children’s wheelchair available.✓ frammuseum.no/en/plan-your-visit · 2026-10-11The museum’s foremost exhibit is, as our name indicates, the polar ship Fram. Visitors are free to go on board and below deck to see the cabins, the cargo hold, the galley, the engine room and the saloons.
