Immersive multimedia installation set inside the Octagonal Halls — historic spaces located within one of the four pillars supporting Michelangelo's dome, opened to the public for the first time for this exhibition.
Created through collaboration between the Fabbrica di San Pietro, Microsoft and Iconem using over 400,000 photographs to create a 3D digital twin of the entire basilica. Features 3D reconstructions, projections and immersive storytelling following two narrative paths: the construction history of the basilica and the life of Saint Peter.
Approximately one hour including transfers. Ticket includes subsequent self-guided basilica visit with Digital Audio Guide. Photography prohibited inside. Late arrivals not admitted — entry strictly tied to reserved time slot. Requires its own separate ticket through basilicasanpietro.va.
